Annika Hagen has pursued writing in various forms since she was a very young girl. Now in her thirties, she has compiled an array of works from published poetry & prose, to stage plays, cartoon animation scripts, a few shorts and four unproduced though as-of-yet unshopped feature screenplays. In 1999 her first feature script was showcased at Pseudo Program’s Blackrabbit Workshop in Manhattan. After living in NY for three years while writing and attending The Stella Adler Studio of Acting, she moved back to Vancouver to attend the Vancouver Film School where her short script was chosen for production. After the film foundation program, Annika began working in the world of animation; she co-wrote three ½ hour cartoon scripts for the animated series "Being Ian" for YTV and wrote her own ½ hour episode 'See You at the Crossroads' for Teletoon’s series "Class of the Titans". Over the years Annika has done many other random and interesting things for work; she waitressed in many a restaurant, delivered pizzas, she was an editorial intern at Grove publishers in NY, an associate producer for the poetry channel at Pseudo Programs (when it was the 1st live-broadcast television network streaming on the internet... see the film "We Live in Public"...), and an Executive Producer’s assistant & Business Affairs coordinator at Infinity Features. She also worked in a wood-shop building deck chairs with these lovely ladies... Gallant and Jones. Currently she works as a Script Supervisor in the film and television industry in Vancouver.
