in between little sleeps in the passenger seat and from inside a mall stretched over the highway, i took some photos. as we reached são paulo in the evening, the one big cloud that hung over the city crackled with lightening. that frisky electric vibe surged through the evening, dancing along the towering buildings into morumbi. i wish i could have better captured the sense from the light displays, simple strings of white lights shimmering and sparkling with a delicate elegance i didn't know had survived the 50's/70's. i really felt like we had gone back in time, a feeling further enforced by the culturally chic dinner we drove into town for (see next post)...
