i must preface this post by acknowledging how lucky i am. last night jorge took me to an event hosted by his friend, claudinha guedes... a weekly event that is not yet publicly advertised, put on by the guedes family at the guedes home in são paulo.... let's guedes together in the garden!... enter into a beautiful 1970's paulista modernist home in the style of bratke and wind down into the burle marx designed hillside garden and this is where dinner is served... beneath the high stretching canopy of trees, with about 30 friends and strangers gathered together to taste the talents of chef luiz guedes. it was a magical event that was not at all encumbered by the tropical thunder and rain storm that followed us into town. it was a delight of delicacies, good music and delectable conversation. i would highly recommend for those with ever the opportunity to make a reservation for this guedes experience!
