i have not been keeping up with a daily blog over the holidays, so much activity and so many big and little celebrations it's been hard to keep up! so here is one beautiful blast from the beach to commemorate the new year! i have been feeling extremely blessed to have come into this warm and welcoming family. thank you for making this such a memorable christmas and new year, for taking me in and spoiling me. your kindness, geniality and generosity have broadened my soul. thank you to all 19 members of Jorge's immidiate family! and thank you to my brother for making it down to brazil to share in the wonderful time. so many good things to come with 2012 i can feel it! beijos! xoxo anni bananni

on the last day of the year 2010 there was a big group kids swim followed by a longer adult swim competition on the beach. very entertaining (i was a big chicken), but these fearless competitors did very well!
